Time for a new 52 things to do in 52 weeks list.
Next year… I don’t know what I want. I’ve got everything. Keith, job, flat…
How can I possibly top that?

My work xmas party was last night. I sneaked off home after work because I am a socially awkward pain-in-the-bum. I spent the night with Keith watching Simpsons and eating pizza.
Winner.
Today, I got my other half some awesome Batman pjyama pants for Christmas because our flat gets REALLY cold sometimes. An hour later he told me he likes Spiderman and thinks Batman is rubbish. FML.
Day 3: Went up eiffel tower. long queues. walked in circles. and more circles. maybe a couple of figure 8s. couldnt find a single irish pub despite seeing a dozen when we didnt want one. keiths feet hurt a lot. found a market. laughed at tacky stuff. marvelled at art and unique trinkets. nearly walked away with an 18inch tall wooden hippo. he bought me jewellery. eiffel tower had stunning views. amazing light shows. men with guns showing men on bikes where to chase to the men with illegal merchandise.
Day 4: Met french cousins. went to another market. rain made us seek shelter in a burger bar. looked for shops- all closed. found irish pub! stayed in there for most of the early evening. went to hotel to pack. nice relaxed end to the holiday. loved every minute of all of it.
Day 3: A snippet - Went to top of Eiffel Tower. Halfway down, it sparkled then changed colours. Managed to catch it as it was looking like a steel rainbow.
Spent the day in/around Montmartre. Saw the Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, went in the Cafe Des Deux Moulins (something I failed to do last time I was here) and listened to the Amelie soundtrack being played on a nearby carousel over a dusky picnic.
Went to see Skunk Anansie. Just as the gig was started, Keith said the L word for the first time. So relieved. He has no idea how long I’ve waited to hear that. (I’m always too scared to say it first.)
Introduced him to Mark (Skunk Anansie and Ex-Feeder/Little Angels drummer and all round nicest guy in rock), who then posed for a photo with our Lego tourists.
Went back to the hotel on top of the world.
I know I’m a day behind but it’s hard finding the time! Todays summary tomorrow!
Got off Eurostar to see a band getting off and dicking about on the platform. I think it was Esser because their driver was waiting with a sign saying “Esser Groupe”… things like that give it away.
Saw my first Space Invader of the trip on the way to the hotel where the song playing in the lobby was Girls Aloud - I Can’t Speak French. Har har.
Left the hotel to explore a bit, jumped on the RER with it’s army men patrolling the platforms with guns and it’s freakish double decker tube trains.
The lego people loved the Eiffel Tower and Keith and I found the Statue of Liberty. Strange.
Soundtrack so far:
Girls Aloud - I Can’t Speak French (hotel lobby)
Phil Collins - Jesus He Knows Me (RER)
The Fray - You Found Me (restaurant)
Graffiti I found near Old Street last night, on Gt. Eastern Street.
Took four photos, stood in the middle of a busy road, to get it all in with my 50mm!
That’s awesome. Pure Evil is one of my fave graffiti artist types at the moment. Never seen this piece before though. His gallery is on Leonard Street, right on the corner Gt Eastern St. Love that area!
Me, Keith and our lego doubles are being touristy in Paris for a long weekend.
foggy night
Having a secret love hurts
The longer you wait the more wonderful it is when it all falls into place.
